Sponsorships and proceeds from our BIGGSteps Toward Cancer Prevention events have gone to the following organizations to further our mission of raising awareness of the causes and prevention of cancer, assisting those affected by cancer, and supporting cancer research.

University of Kansas Cancer Center

We support ground-breaking research into cancer prevention at Sean’s alma mater

 

 

Beth Israel Deaconess (BID) Cancer Center and Surgical Pavilion-Needham 

Sean received treatment from BID and we support their mission of world-class care in a
community setting

 

Camp Kesem

Camps run by passionate college student leaders supporting children through and beyond their parent’s cancers. We support chapters at Sean’s Alma Maters: The University of Kansas and Massachusetts Institute of Technology

 

Study Abroad Scholarship Programs

Certain donors to the Sean D. Biggs Memorial Foundation earmark their contributions for funding study abroad scholarships. Sean counted his study abroad experiences as some of the most transformative of his life and wanted others to have the same opportunities. We have created scholarship funds for the following schools:

Sean was a graduate of the KU School of Engineering and was one of its first students to study abroad.
